Welcome Ella!

I would like to introduce the newest member of the Hammond clan. Ella was born Sunday night, and both mom and baby are doing well.

She clearly didn't understand the part where she was supposed to be an August baby, or maybe she did and just wanted to surprise everyone.

I needn't have worried about this little sweater fitting her. She weighs just 5 pounds, 15 ounces, officially making her the smallest baby I have ever held.

Of course I had to introduce her to knitting and tea. Maybe I'm a wee bit biased, but I think she looks quite interested.

Their first family photo.

Welcome baby Ella!

  12. Welcome, Ella! Congratulations to all of you. Ella is beautiful. I think the sweater is perfect. My babies were both small like her and we didn't have small enough clothes for them at first, but they grew quickly. Ella will have a nice long time in her sweater. I hope everyone is doing well.

  14. Total cuteness overload, she is a beauty and I am sure she is very, very smart I mean look at her interest in knitting! Congrats to you all. I work with little babies so I hold them often, my oldest was 5 pounds 14 ounces, he was a peanut and had to wear preemie clothes.
